Sadie & Marie chose the Riding School at Calke Abbey as their wedding venue, not because of the grand house but for the tumbledown courtyards and quirky spaces of the old Riding School next door. In fact, they never even ventured inside the second shooter, Kathryn and I did and it is a proper kooky, giant hall of death with stuffed animals and birds covering every imaginable surface. The stables suited the girls' relaxed style much better and we had a lot of fun doing their photography in the old orangery and the gardens.

This gorgeous couple are really into photography and having a good time. It was their idea to do the Oscars style selfie but with the guests wearing masks of their faces and it was quite a surreal site. The day was glorious despite forecasts for rain and the wedding was planned to perfection with help of the fabulous Honeysuckle and Castle. You know those weddings where you wish you had been a guest? Yeah, this was definitely one of those. My favourite bit though was probably the First Look, just outside the cottage they got ready in.
