Last week, I headed up to East London to meet Sarah & Chris for their engagement shoot. I've started to think of these shoots a little like a date with my clients.. with a camera involved. Chris made us a delicious lunch and then we started shooting in their flat. Their particular corner of East London is a little haven away from the world and we didn't have to go far to discover some ace locations.
This is one of my favourite things about this job.. that it takes me to places I would never visit otherwise. On their doorstep, these guys have a canal that they walk along most days. We had grimey underpasses next to fields of reeds and plenty of great locations to play in. They are crazy in love with each other so it was a fun shoot and I'm really looking forward to seeing them again at the wedding in a couple of months.
you lift MY HEART up when the rest of me is down, you, you enchant me even when you're not around
Hey Lisa, I’ve been following your blog and your work for some time now and, I have to say, your work always inspires me and fills me with the hugest desire to get out and about with my camera again. I cannot wait to see you speak at The Photography Show soon as well!
This engagement session is so beautiful. Those shots in amongst the reeds are mindblowingly beautiful and I love the last black & white in the underpass as well. Oh, and that one by the canal! Who am I kidding? I love them all!
