Outdoor weddings are amazing so I was more than thrilled when I was contacted by Christina and Jack to shoot their festival style tipi wedding in Jack's parents' garden in Kent. They had opted for an alternative Humanist ceremony conducted by the very loveliest celebrant that I think I've ever seen, Zena Birch. The ceremony on the lawns overlooking miles and miles of countryside was deeply personal, touching, witty and really heartfelt. I often witness pretty impersonal ceremonies so this one really impressed me with how tailored it was to the couple. I also adored their florals by the very talented Bloomingayles.

Did I mention that Jack's parents happen to own a magnificent Edwardian Country House with acres of land? We made use of the beautiful grounds for photos and even climbed into the field next door. Christina and Jack both looked utterly gorgeous and they were really good sports. Then it was time for them to host their reception in the Tipis that they bought specially for the wedding and now hire out. It was a relaxed, fun day with lots of cute details and a fantastic party atmosphere. This couple know how to put on a good party and I'm sure their new business venture The Boutique Tent Company will be a huge success.
