[D]espite a very last minute change of venues for their wedding reception to the Pub Du Vin in Brighton, Lel and John still managed to have a very chilled out wedding day. The sunshine was definitely an unexpected but welcome bonus and it was positively streaming through the balcony doors at the Metropole where Lel got ready. Who knew in January, we’d be playing with sun flare?! Lel really did look sensational so I was very glad that we’d made some time for portraits at the hotel before heading to church. Speaking of which, I don’t think I’ve ever been in a more friendly or warm atmosphered church as St Andrew’s in Hove.
After church and some group photos, we headed to the beach to catch the last of the daylight. Lel and John really braved the elements, I should mention that Lel is also a wedding photographer so we really wanted to do an ace job for her. To be honest, they both looked incredible so it wasn’t hard. We all met up with all their guests again at the Hotel Du Vin for the drinks and dinner. The lovely Adam Bronkhorst (also a friend of Lel’s) was shooting with me and he found time for some terrific set ups in the hotel. I love seeing what other photographers come up with. We left as the band was in full swing and so was the party.
Let me PHOTOGRAPH you in this light, In case it is the last time that we might be exactly like we were…
