[N]ot so long ago, I simplified how I charge for weddings and switched to offering an hourly rate. There is no catch and there is no minimum so every now and then I shoot really short coverage. And it’s amazing how much photography can be achieved in just two hours. In fact, Jessica and Giles were on such a tight budget that they were not going to have a photographer at all.
Their Maid of Honour, Minh got in touch with me to see if she could gift them a shoot to compensate but once we got to chatting, I explained that I could happily shoot the wedding for a couple of hours for the same rate as a couple shoot. We had time for the end of bridal prep, the ceremony, portraits and groups. I get pretty booked up but if I’ve got space then these short and sweet days are always fun to do.
