[Y]ou know I’ve been in this game for quite a while now, I’ve literally been to hundreds and hundreds of weddings in every corner of the UK. But this festival style wedding will forever be one of my all time favourites. Yes the Bride and Groom (Sophie and Gareth from Crown and Glory) are my friends and it’s always super special to be the photographer for someone you know; Yes I’d actually made it to Sophie’s wonderful hen party back in the summer and yes some of my close friends were also at this wedding. But above all of that, what made this wedding truly special was the couple. Sophie and Gareth know how to throw a helluva party, that’s for sure but what you might not see in these photos is just how much effort they made to ensure that all their guests had an utterly brilliant time. Right from the moment we all gathered in this wonderful place in Deepest Darkest Wales, the good times really rolled.
When I got to my room, I found an incredible welcome package including a bespoke flower crown that perfectly matched my skirt. Later on, I looked around the room as I shot the speeches and saw a sea of gorgeous flower crowns all perfectly matched to outfits and it dawned on me that Sophie has asked me what was I wearing weeks before.. ahhhhhh! See it’s that level of kindness that made us guests feel so much warmth and love from the newlyweds. Their generosity dripped out of every corner of this wedding and I left feeling like my joy tank had been refilled. Looking at the images again reminds me of so many fun moments. Now if this wedding is looking a little familiar then that might be because it is featured in the current issue of Rock n Roll Bride Magazine. Sophie is starring on the cover like the Goddess that she is.. well when your Maid of Honour is editor of a bridal magazine, it kind of HAD to happen, right?
