Brighton Elopement With Flea Market Portraits

Thinking that Wedding Portraits in Brighton have to be on the beach? Think again…

When Victoria and Tom had their Brighton Elopement, they didn’t want to go to the usual places like the beach for their portraits, Instead, we went to their favourite shop.

As a wedding photographer, one of the things that I love most about living in Brighton is that we NEVER run out of spots to take photos at. In fact, I pride myself on being able to find new places.

So when this couple got in touch and said that they wanted to do things a little differently for their elopement, I asked them what they normally like to do when they come to Brighton. Turns out their favourite thing is to rummage around the Brighton Flea Market. “Let’s do that” I said because it just so happens that this shop is painted pink!

Modern, Vintage Wedding With A Floral Wedding Dress

BRIGHTON ELOPEMENT

They wanted “super low key, as we’ve been engaged for a gazillion years and decided it’s way time to get hitched!”

The bride is a very busy wedding florist and they just didn’t want a lot of fuss on their wedding day, they decided to keep it very simple with their very closest people as guests.

After an intimate and touching ceremony at Brighton Town Hall, they exited to confetti and we took some group photos before getting in the wedding car and heading to Kemptown.

Victoria said…

We are absolutely blown away

Our images are insane and we can’t wait to share them with our families and friends who will be super excited to hear we finally tied the knot.

You were brilliant and totally knew what we wanted to get out of our portraits.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF WEDDING GIFT

As we pursued this incredible shop, Tom spotted a picture that he liked the look of. Worried that it might get snapped up if he left it until the next day, he bought it as a gift to them both to hang in their home as a forever memento of the romantic time that they had in this unique and quirky location.

WHY ELOPE TO BRIGHTON?

Brighton is just such a vibe, you know? From the beach to our beautiful landmarks like the iconic Royal Pavilion but also amazing hidden spots, like pink flea markets! So, if you’re thinking about ditching the big wedding and going for something more intimate and small, Brighton’s a truly wonderful place to do it.
