[T]his has been the year of the Festival Wedding for sure and on the August Bank Holiday I headed to the glorious Chafford Park in rural Sussex for the very lovely Laura and Joseba’s wedding. This is quite a new venue but it is perfect if you want somewhere you can make your own for the weekend, the accommodation is terrific and you can opt for tipis or the barn for your reception. This was such a fun wedding, I knew it would be. The couple met in Ibiza where the groom was DJing
and his family brought with them some of the Basque wedding traditions. When the couple exited the ceremony, Joseba’s friends and family were lined up with scarves for them to walk under, then they had confetti and that was followed by a musician and dancer from Barcelona. As you can see Laura was quite pregnant and along with Joseba’s look for the day, I couldn’t help but think of Kill Bill 2. I loved this wedding and as we left, guests were dancing while the groom played a set and the pizza van was churning out delicious pizzas.
Ten days of perfect tunes, the colours red and blue. We had a PROMISE MADE, we were in love …
