London Pub Engagement Shoot // Ellen + Scott

You can never grow tired of London as a location for engagement shoots and what better way to start than in one of it’s oldest pubs? Now one of the funniest things about being a wedding photographer is meeting your clients in public places for the first time. My strategy is to grin at every couple in a place until one of them says.. “Are you Lisa?” But with these guys, I was first of all just meeting Scott, the groom as Ellen was held up at work. Now the Blackfriar is one of the busiest pubs in town and suddenly I felt like I was on a Tinder date as I did my grin at every single bloke in there!

After a couple of scans of the room and the beer garden, I was starting to feel like a dick but luckily, a quick search on Facebook gave me a profile picture to work from and I very gratefully found Scott holding a table in the corner for us. Ellen arrived soon after and after a quick chat about their wedding, we took a stroll down to the river. Engagement shoots can just be simple especially with London’s ever changing backdrop. As your photographer, I just want to see how you look in images and for you? Well you get some nice photos to use as your phone screensaver.
