Where fancy cakes meet Hollywood’s darling.
We want it to feel like a French Chateau meets English garden party, is what Sophia and Jack were aiming for with their Firle Place wedding. They wanted everything to be elegant and modern with personal touches that represented them.
It was the perfect venue for this. Firle Place is nestled in the Sussex countryside, not far from Lewes and in recent years it is becoming well-known as a location for filming. You might recognise it from Bake Off: The Professionals and it features in the recent adaptation of Emma starring Anya Taylor-Joy.
This couple chose to have an outdoor ceremony in the courtyard and it was a great day for it. It’s such a pretty setting and after confetti and photos in front of the impressive blue doors, everyone moved over to the lawns and terraces to mingle over drinks and nibbles. We moved inside the Grade II listed Georgian Riding Stables for the reception. Think twinkling fairy lights, a colour palette made up of shades of blush. When we left, everyone was dancing the night away to their superb band Freak Out. Turns out that I also shot the wedding for two of them at Pangdean Barn in Brighton a while back.
I would love to shoot here again so if you have booked your wedding at Firle Place, get in touch and lets’ chat or if you still need to find a venue, here are some of my favourite wedding venues in Sussex.
